Ian Lopez hails from Santa Rosa, northern California, just up the coast from San Francisco. The 21-year-old American got his start racing mountain-bike dirt crits around Howard Park. He raced cyclocross and mountain-bikes as a teenager, honing his bike handling skills and raw explosive power. Then he turned to gravel and the LifeTime GrandPrix series, where he made a name for himself as a young upstart, taking on the toughest off-road racers in the States.

That caught the attention of Aevolo, which offered him a ride on the road for 2024. Ian made the most of it, finishing as the best young rider at the Tour de Beauce in Canada and earning nine top-ten results in races across Europe and North America. He wants to keep that momentum going in 2025 and prove that he has got what it takes to ride in the WorldTour.

He is a fast finisher with the durability to get around tough, hilly race courses. The harder the race, the more Ian thrives. He knows he will have to push himself to the limit to achieve his dreams.

He also knows that it is important to turn off and relax to recover and get stronger. Off the bike, Ian has a great range of hobbies. He bakes sourdough bread, modifies clothes with his sewing machine, goes fishing, and reads. He has just moved to Girona, Spain for the 2025 racing season and feels right at home. Ian’s grandparents are from Alicante, so he has already knows the Spanish roads and way of life well.

Nineteen-year-old Jenthe Verstraete is EF Education-Aevolo’s Flandrien. He grew up in Belgium’s bike racing mad region – Flanders – and has been riding kermis races and youth classics over the climbs of De Ronde van Vlaanderen ever since he was a kid. Jenthe’s first sport was swimming though, and then he took up triathlon, before deciding that the bike was his favorite sport of the three.

He went to a cycling school that allowed him to combine his studies with racing. He and his schoolmates would train together on the the track in Gent, dreaming of making it to the pros.

Jenthe is well on his way. He a banner year in 2024 when he won Roosdaal-Pamel, the mountains classification at Aubel-Stavelot Juniors, a stage and the GC at Triptyque Ardennais Juniors, and stood on the podium at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The previous season, he had won the GC at Elewijt, Wijnendale-Torhour, and Mesen,taken the points jersey at Penn Ar Bed-Pays d’Iroise and got the victory on the first stage of La SportBreizh Juniors.

He is an attacker, who loves a big, aggressive day out in the mountains. This year, he is really looking forward to racing the top U23 stage races, where he wants to show what he can do and earn a WorldTour contract.

To help him on his way, he is currently studying sports science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His goal is to apply everything he learns there at the Tour de France.

Londoner Josh Golliker is a rising UK talent, who burst onto the cycling scene over the past two seasons, with three stage wins and the points jersey at the Valle d’Aosta, one of the premier climbing stage races on the U23 calendar, as well as sixth place at the 2024 Il Lombardia U23.

He loves the adrenaline of racing and pushing himself beyond his previous limits in the high mountains.

As a kid, he played every sport he could, but cycling was always the one he loved most. Hard work and talent brought him to EF Education-Aevolo and now Josh wants show that he has got what it takes to have a successful career in the WorldTour.

Josh lives at home in England and likes to spend his free time going for long walks and reading.

Miguel Ángel Marin has dreamt of attacking off the wheels of Colombian heroes like Rigoberto Urán ever since was a child. He started racing in his hometown, El Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia, when he was just seven years old. He loved pushing himself to go faster, the toughness of the sport, and the beautiful mountainscapes where he learned to climb.

Miguel is a complete rider. An excellent climber and time trialist, who has earned top results in Colombia’s most prestigious junior races, he won the Vuelta del Porvenir in 2024, took the opening stage at the Clásica Carmen de Viboral Juniors, and earned another 14 top-tens. The previous year, he won the opening stage of his hometown stage race, the Clásica de Rionegro Juniors, where he was fifth on GC and placed eighth overall at the Vuelta a Antioquia Juniors.

He is adjusting to life in Europe, where he is making a new home in the mountains of Andorra. Many South American pros live nearby, so he can train with the, and enjoy some familiar comforts, as he gets used to the different rhythm of life and increased competition of racing.

Miguel’s goal is to make it to the WorldTour. That would make all of his sacrifices worthwhile. He races to make his family proud, though he knows that they already are and that they are behind him 100%.

British sprinter Noah Hobbs has already proved that he is one of the fastest young bike racers in the peloton. In 2023, he was fourth at Gent-Wevelgem U23 and had an additional eight top-ten results. Last year, Noah earned a pair of stage wins and the points jersey at the Alpes Isère Tour and took the final stage and the points classification at the Tour Alsace. He started his first season with EF Education-Aevolo with two stage wins and a yellow jersey victory at the Volta ao Alentejo.

He races with British Cycling on the track and is gunning to make the next Olympics. He thinks that the speed that he develops on the boards will help him accelerate even faster in bunch kicks.

His favorite races are the craziest ones, like the classics, which are action packed from start to finish. He always wants them to end in a sprint.

Once the peloton gets to the final kilometers, Noah locks in, making instant decisions, as he jumps from wheel to wheel through the pack, before he sees the finish line and goes with every that he has got.

With EF Education-Aevolo, he is looking forward to learning from the pros on our men’s and women’s team. His goal is to get to the WorldTour as soon as possible. His dream is to win Tour de France bunch sprints.

Noah lives in England and goes back whenever he can to just chill out and play padel and Xbox with his friends.

Kellen Caldwell from Milford, Michigan has his sights set on the WorldTour. After running competitively as a kid, he got his start racing mountain-bikes with his dad and uncle. During the summer, they would watch the Tour de France together and that sparked Kellen’s imagination. He started dreaming of racing up Alpine cols in front of the world’s fans, though his main focus was still mountain biking.

Kellen went to college in Fort Lewis, Colorado and that is where he really got going with racing on the road. He was soon driving himself to races outside of the university circuit and got better and better as he got the hang of the tactics. He learned how the different riders on a team can work together, each filling their role, in pursuit of a greater goal. Kellen liked that side of the sport.

Soon, he was flying. Last season he won the mountain stage at the Tucson Bicycle Classic, landing him in second place on the final GC. He scored 10 top-ten results across Europe and the United States and raced the US Pro National Championships.

Kellen is an explosive climber whose big goal is to make it to the WorldTour. This year, he wants to build on his earlier results and show what he can do against the best U23s.

Off the bike, Kellen likes to challenge himself as well. Last year, he decided to learn how to paint and draw. He is always trying to come up with creative dishes in the kitchen. His go-tos are crazy omlettes full of healthy vegetables. He has already been asking our team chefs for tips.
